CONTROLLED BETA TERMS

Clear rules before coral changes hands.

FRAG is a moderated introduction service operated by The Underwater Gardener. These beta terms apply to submissions, listings, introductions and store-trade requests. By submitting, you confirm you are at least 18 and accept this version dated September 9, 2026.

Free peer trades

A FRAG peer trade must be coral for coral only. No money, store credit, gift card, token, deposit, reimbursement, service or side payment may be included. FRAG charges no platform fee for a qualifying peer trade. “No FRAG fee” does not mean tax-free; each party is responsible for understanding and meeting applicable tax or reporting duties.

Shipping and pickup

Each party separately arranges, pays for and accepts the risk of its own shipping or pickup. FRAG does not pack, ship, insure, guarantee live arrival, adjudicate carrier claims or promise that another participant will perform. Exact shipping dates, evidence windows and live-arrival expectations must be agreed between the parties before an exchange.

Sales are intake-only during this beta

FRAG may collect private sale submissions, but public sales and payment tools remain disabled until required provider approvals and marketplace-facilitator review are complete. If enabled later, the buyer will pay the seller directly through an approved protected commercial method; FRAG will not hold, route, split, refund or escrow the coral purchase funds. The seller will owe FRAG 2.5% of the mutually confirmed coral price, excluding separately stated shipping and tax, only after a completed sale under the then-current terms. Never use a personal “friends and family” payment for a commercial coral sale.

Lawful coral only

You must lawfully possess and be permitted to transfer the coral. Fish, controlled wildlife, prohibited species, illegal wild collection, undisclosed money trades, contact spam and misleading provenance are not allowed. Unknown-source coral cannot be publicly listed; wild-collected coral requires specific private provenance review. FRAG may reject, remove or preserve records relating to suspected abuse.

Moderation and privacy

Submission is not publication. A moderator may rewrite public listing text, reduce location precision, decline an image, request evidence or refuse a listing. Do not place an email, phone number, street address, social handle or payment handle in any public-facing description or image. See the privacy notice.

Identification and condition

Coral ID suggestions are educational category guidance only. FRAG does not certify species, lineage, health, pest status, aquaculture status, legal origin, value or compatibility. Participants must inspect evidence and make their own husbandry decisions.

Store trades

“Trade with Store” is separate from free peer trading. The Underwater Gardener may offer coral, merchandise credit, another stated outcome or no offer. Nothing is accepted or valued automatically.

Beta limits and disputes

FRAG may pause introductions, cap completed transactions, change beta functionality or remove listings to meet safety, reporting and legal requirements. FRAG is not a party to a peer exchange or buyer-seller payment. Participants should stop and report suspicious conduct before sharing contact information or shipping coral.
