FRAG beta privacy

FRAG collects the information you submit so The Underwater Gardener can moderate coral requests, listings, store offers and private introduction requests.

What we collect

This may include your email, coral and tank details, Lower 48 ZIP code or region, private notes, consent records, and submitted photos. A one-way hash of a basic network signal is retained to limit spam.

Audience measurement

FRAG uses Google Analytics to measure basic page visits and completed form events so we can understand whether people find and use the service. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in FRAG’s configuration. Google may process technical information such as device, browser and approximate location data under its own terms. You can use browser privacy controls or a content blocker to limit this measurement.

What may become public

A trade submission stays private unless a moderator approves it. For an approved listing, FRAG may publish a moderator-written title and wanted-coral summary, broad region, selected coral facts, and the photo only after a separate image privacy review. Your email, exact ZIP or address, private notes, provenance documents, payment preference and consent records are not published.

Introductions and marketing

An introduction request is private and does not automatically reveal either party’s email. Operational messages about a submission or introduction are separate from optional marketing consent. FRAG does not sell submitted contact information.

Photos and claims

Public-capable photos are re-encoded in the browser to remove ordinary embedded metadata, then privately reviewed before publication. A photograph does not prove species, lineage, origin, health, pest status, legal eligibility or ownership.

External payments

FRAG does not hold or route coral purchase funds. If sales are enabled after review, buyers and sellers will use an approved protected commercial payment method directly and remain subject to that provider’s privacy terms.

Retention, access and deletion

FRAG retains beta records while they are needed for moderation, matching, security, accounting or legal obligations. Questions, corrections, marketing opt-out requests and deletion requests can be sent to info@theunderwatergardener.com. Some records may need to be retained where law requires it.
